Tools
An SDK, a CLI and an MCP server for the MailVet API.
These aren’t on npm yet, so you can’t install them today. Until they are, call the API directly: the docs and guides have code you can copy.
SDK
mailvetA TypeScript client for Node 18 or newer, with no dependencies.
Coming to npm
- checkBatch takes a list of any length, sends 100 at a time, waits when rate limited and returns results in order.
- Typed results and errors, and quota info from the response headers.
Block bad signups, once it’s out
import { MailVet, shouldBlock } from "mailvet";
const mailvet = new MailVet({
apiKey: process.env.MAILVET_KEY,
failOpen: true, // null when MailVet is down, so signups still work
});
const result = await mailvet.check(email);
if (shouldBlock(result)) {
// invalid, or disposable and not on your allow rules
}CLI
mailvetCheck one address or clean a CSV from your terminal. It comes with the SDK.
Coming to npm
- clean checks each distinct address once and removes invalid and disposable ones. Your other columns stay as they were.
- Exit codes for scripts: 0 passes, 1 should be blocked, 2 bad usage, 3 refused key, 4 quota used up, 5 rate limited, 6 anything else.
Check and clean, once it’s out
export MAILVET_KEY=mv_live_your_key
mailvet check jane@example.com
mailvet clean list.csv > clean.csvMCP server
mailvet-mcpLets an AI assistant check addresses for you, over stdio. Each address spends one check from your quota.
Coming to npm
- check_email checks one address.
- check_emails checks up to 1,000, in order.
