Changelog

What changed in MailVet, newest first.

  1. Free bulk domain check

Paste up to 100 domains and see which are on the disposable list, with no signup. Copy the results when you're done. It only reads the list, so "not on the list" doesn't mean safe.

  2. Batches and CSV cleaning

POST /v1/check/batch takes up to 100 addresses in one request. The bulk list cleaner in the dashboard takes a CSV of up to 10,000 rows and gives you back a results file.

  3. Your own rules

Always block or always allow a domain, per account. Results carry a new custom_rule field.

  4. Usage chart and quota emails

A 30-day chart and per-key totals in the dashboard, and an email at 80% and 100% of your plan. You can turn the emails off.

  5. Guides and a free list download

Code for Next.js, Express, Auth.js, Clerk, Supabase, Django, Laravel, Rails, Go and FastAPI. The disposable list is free to download as text or JSON.

  6. Tools page

A new page at /tools lists the SDK, CLI and MCP server for the API. None of them are on npm yet, and the page says so.

  7. Cancel from the billing page

Paid accounts get buttons to cancel, update the card and see invoices. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for.

  8. Password reset and email confirmation

Forgot your password? Ask for a reset link, which lasts an hour. New password accounts confirm their address before they can create API keys. Google and GitHub accounts start confirmed.

  9. Typo suggestions

A new did_you_mean field names the big provider a domain looks like a typo of, so gamil.com suggests gmail.com. Known typos always get the hint, even when someone has given them a mail server. It's a hint only and never changes the verdict. The same update added free_provider, true for major free mailbox providers.

  10. Google and GitHub sign-in

Sign in with Google or GitHub instead of a password. Accounts match on the provider's account id, and a sign-in never links to an existing confirmed password account.

  11. Look up any domain

/is/<domain> now answers for any valid domain, not only the ones we list, and the home page has a search box for it.

  12. A signal for domains not on the list yet

New suspect and signal fields flag a domain that shares mail servers with known disposable services. It's a signal only: the verdict doesn't change, and coverage is partial.

  13. The disposable list refreshes daily

The API now pulls the open disposable-email-domains list every day, and refuses an update that looks broken.

  14. MailVet v1

GET /v1/check goes live. One call checks an address's format, mail servers, disposable domains and role addresses. Sign up, create API keys, track your monthly quota in the dashboard and read the docs.
